Puglia that inspire

In Puglia light has a way of settling gently over everything. It caresses the ancient dry stone walls, warms the pale limestone, and makes the silver leaves shimmer in the soft breeze. It is here that Trullo Santangelo was born, a unique complex of nine cone trulli dating back to the early nineteenth century. Lovingly and carefully restored by the Elia family, owners for generations, it has been welcoming guests from all over the world since 2011.
An authentic place that tells the story of Puglia, its generosity, its warmth and its gentle soul. Here the sun reflects brightly against whitewashed walls, shadows trace the elegant shapes of prickly pear cacti, and the air carries the scent of olive trees and bay leaves, awakening childhood memories while creating new ones every day. We are located in the Valle d'Itria, the beating heart of Puglia, in a place where time seems to slow down and the true beauty of the region can still be savored between red earth and endless blue skies.

Our Story

We are the Elia family, 100% Apulian. Incurable nostalgic, we love our land and its traditions. Daniele and Maria Luisa are in charge of hospitality and catering, while Sergio, the oenologist of the family, after years in Barolo, decided to return home, open Cantina Elia and devote himself to his greatest passion, wine. In 2011 we opened the doors of Trullo Santangelo to travelers from all over the world and from 2019 we are also an Agriturismo farm and we are ready to bring our products into your homes!
